Tight schedule some days?  Don’t worry – we have you covered.  With flexible serving hours, sack lunches, late plates for dinner, and the option of a “to-go” container to take your meal with you, you never have to worry about missing out. 

And since we offer flexible meal plans (10/ 14 / 19 meals per week) you get to choose the plan that will work best for your schedule.

AH Dining Policy

DINING AT ARMORY HOUSE

Welcome to Armory House! We are delighted to provide you with meals and exceptional service. Our goal is to ensure that you have a satisfying and convenient dining experience. Please read through our dining policies to make the most of your dining experience. You can always provide feedback via the College Fresh App—we value your input! The dining room will be open from 8 PM to midnight each evening as a study area.

BEFORE YOU ENTER THE DINING AREA

1. Backpacks: Backpacks are not allowed in the serving or dining rooms. Please hang them on the hooks provided or return them to your room before getting your food.
2. Entry and Check-In: Entry to the serving/dining area requires check-in.
   • Guests of our residents can dine at Armory House for $9 plus tax. Electronic payment required at check-in station.
3. Meal Choices: You must choose either dine-in or take-out. Dinnerware is not allowed to leave the Dining Hall.
4. Hand Sanitization: Use hand sanitizer before entering the serving area and after touching serving utensils or computer keyboards.
5. Meal Number:
   • Enter your 5-digit meal number to help us manage meal counts. If you need additional meals added to your plan, contact the office staff.
   • Sharing meal numbers is prohibited and will result in disciplinary action for both the student who shares and the one who uses the shared number.
6. Removal of Items:
   • Only a hand-held fruit or dessert, and drinks in disposable cups may be removed from the dining area. No dinnerware, glasses, or silverware may be taken out. Violations will result in a $25 fine.

SERVING AREA

1. Dinnerware:
   • Use a new plate each time you enter the serving area.
   • No dinnerware, silverware, or glassware may be removed from the dining area. Non-compliance will incur a $25 fine.
2. Serving utensils:
   • Use provided utensils to self serve to avoid contamination.
3. Serving size:
   • To assure that all residents are served as quickly as possible especially during rush hours, we ask that everyone only take your first serving and please come back for second serving.
   • No dinnerware, silverware, or glassware may be removed from the dining area. Non-compliance will incur a $25 fine.

CLEANING UP IN THE DINING HALL

1. Wipe your table before and after meals to maintain cleanliness and reduce germs. 
2. Dispose of your garbage properly at the bussing area. Place dinnerware and silverware in the designated tubs.
3. Do not empty drinks into the garbage can; place drinkware in the designated tub.

SACK LUNCH AND LATE PLATE

1. Sack Lunch:
   • Request a Sack Lunch by 4 PM the day before you need it.
   • Pick up your lunch from the AH Main Student Kitchen in the mini-fridge underneath the kitchen counter. 
   • Unclaimed Sack Lunches will be discarded the following morning.
2. Late Plate:
   • Late Plates are offered for Lunch or Dinner.
   • Complete the Late Plate form by 11AM for lunch requests, and 4 PM for dinner requests.
   • Pick up your late plate from the AH Main student kitchen in the mini fridge underneath the kitchen counter.  Unclaimed plates will be discarded the following morning. Repeated offenses may lead to the loss of Late Plate privileges.
   • The late plate option counts as one of your meals, regardless of pickup.
3. Please visit the College Fresh app to request your sack lunch or late plate.

TAKE OUT MEAL & TO-GO CONTAINERS

1. Take-Out:
   • You may choose to take out your meal using an approved To-Go container at a cost of $5 per container.
   • Purchase To-Go Containers at the dining checker station and use them immediately.
2. Usage:
   • You must exit the serving area with your To-Go container and eat elsewhere.
   • Dispose of food waste properly in a plastic bag and take it out immediately. Avoid disposing of waste in bathroom sinks.
3. Returning Containers: Return your To-Go container to the cart opposite the dining checker station after each use and request a clean container from the Dining Coordinator. If you are not ready for another take-out container at that time please request a token from the meal checker that can be redeemed next time you wish a take-container. Be sure not to lose your token or you will be charged for another container.
4. Restrictions: No dinnerware, glassware, or silverware may be taken out with your To-Go container.
